A selective, systemic, post-emergence herbicide for the control of narrow-leaf weeds in broad-leaf crops.
QUIZARA contains quizalofop-ethyl 5% EC, a selective, systemic, post-emergence herbicide of the aryloxyphenoxypropionate group. It controls narrow-leaf weeds such as Echinochloa spp., Eleusine and Digitaria spp., as well as volunteer paddy, in broad-leaf crops.
QUIZARA is quickly absorbed through the leaf surface and moves through the xylem and phloem to the growing tissue of the weed. There it inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), an enzyme that grassy weeds need to make fatty acids. The leaves turn purple or red within 5–8 days and the weeds are completely killed within 10–15 days.

QUIZARA is used in soybean, cotton, groundnut, black gram and onion against grass weeds such as Echinochloa spp., Eleusine indica, Digitaria spp., Dactyloctenium aegyptium and Dinebra retroflexa.
Application rate: 300–400 ml per acre in soybean, groundnut, black gram and onion; 400 ml per acre in cotton.
