A selective pre- and post-emergence herbicide of the diphenyl ether group.
OXARIS contains oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC, which belongs to the diphenyl ether group of herbicides. It is a selective pre- and post-emergence herbicide that controls a number of annual broad-leaf weeds and some grasses and suppresses some perennials, without harming the crop at the recommended dose.
OXARIS interferes with chlorophyll synthesis in the target weeds. Under light this leads to damage of their cell membranes and disrupts photosynthesis, which results in effective control of the weeds.
“Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC for selective pre- and post-emergence weed control.”
OXARIS is used in direct-sown rice, as a pre-emergence treatment (Echinochloa spp., Cyperus iria, Eclipta alba), in onion (Chenopodium album, Amaranthus viridis), and in tea and mint.
Application rate: 260–400 ml per acre in rice and tea, 170–340 ml per acre in onion and 362 ml per acre in mint. Water volume: 200 litres per acre in rice and mint; 200–300 litres per acre in tea and onion.
