METRIGARD

METRIGARD - Selective Herbicide

A selective, systemic and contact herbicide of the triazinone group for pre- and post-emergence weed control.

  • Controls both narrow-leaf and broad-leaf weeds
  • Pre- and post-emergence applications
  • Acts through roots and leaves
  • Effective against Phalaris minor
  • Economical: broad-spectrum activity at a low dose

Product Overview

METRIGARD contains metribuzin 70% WP, a selective, systemic and contact herbicide of the triazinone group. It controls narrow-leaf and broad-leaf weeds in sugarcane, potato, tomato, soybean and wheat, in pre- and post-emergence applications.

How It Works

METRIGARD is absorbed mainly by the roots, and also by the leaves, and moves through the plant in the xylem. It inhibits photosynthesis at photosystem II and acts on both grasses and broad-leaf weeds. Because it works through roots and leaves, it can be applied before or after the weeds emerge.

“A selective, systemic and contact herbicide of the triazinone group.”
