A non-selective, systemic herbicide of the organophosphorus group that controls annual and perennial weeds down to the root.
GLYVANT contains glyphosate 41% SL. It is a non-selective, systemic herbicide of the organophosphorus group that controls both annual and perennial weeds very effectively. It is used to control weeds in plantation crops, along water channels and bunds, in open fields and on non-cropped land.
GLYVANT inhibits EPSP synthase, a key enzyme in the shikimic acid pathway that weeds rely on to make essential amino acids. As a systemic herbicide it is absorbed and carried down to the root system, so weeds, including tough perennial grasses, are eradicated completely and not just knocked down at the surface.
“A non-selective, systemic herbicide of the organophosphorus group.”
GLYVANT is used in tea against weeds such as Axonopus compressus, Cynodon dactylon, Imperata cylindrica and Polygonum perfoliatum, and on non-cropped land for the general control of monocot and dicot weeds, including Sorghum halepense.
Application rate: 800–1,200 ml per acre, in 180 litres of water in tea and 200 litres of water on non-cropped land.
